How To Win When You Feel Like You Are Losing

AUDIO #259

Life sometimes can get you down, where you may feel like you are losing. What if the things that have led you to think you are losing, are the exact thing that is leading you to your WIN. You are already a winner, just going to say that right now. You don’t need anyone giving you a stamp approval on your head saying that you have been deemed as a winner, you already are.

I want to share with you some wisdom from an inspirational video that I recently shared in our Sisterhood Connections Facebook Group. I am quoting what they are sharing in regards to listening to the outside noise.

“It’s betting on yourself and on your difference” ~ Pharell Williams

Justin Timberlake:

“Growing up in school no one ever called me anything close to an innovator. They called me different, they called me weird, and thankfully my mother taught me that being different was a good thing.”

Ed Sheeran:

“Be yourself, embrace your quirks, embrace your weirdness.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger:

“Dig deep down and ask yourself, who do you want to be? Not WHAT, but WHO?

And I’m talking about not what your parents and teachers want you to be, but what you want to be. I’m talking about figuring out for yourselves what makes you happy. No matter how crazy it may sound to other people, we have so many rules in life about everything. I say break the rules. Not the law but the rules.

(He goes on to share about when he was first trying to get into Hollywood.)

My agent also complained about my accent, he said “no one ever became a star with an accent like that, especially not with a German accent! And spoke about not seeing my name on a billboard, with a name like I had.

So this is the kind of negative attitude they had toward me. But I didn’t listen to those rules, and then when I did terminator, “I’ll be back” became one of the most famous lines in movie history, all because of my crazy accent. Now think about it. The things that the agents said would be totally a detriment and would make it impossible for me to get a job…. All of the sudden became an asset for me. All of those things, my accent, my body, everything. So it just shows to you, never listen to that you can’t do something.

Steve Jobs:

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

Don’t be trapped by dogma-which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

Ahmad Harris

Trust yourself. Alot of people fail because they are trusting in other people. And they stop trusting themselves, they watch other people and think they need to be doing what they are doing. One of the coolest things aobut being different and doing something different than everyone else, is you get to create something that many times everyone finds exciting and unique and all of the sudden people want to do it just like you do it.

“One size fits all works for hats and scrubs, but one size fits all doesn’t work for passion and purpose.”

Place your hand over your heart and repeat: “I am a winner in my life and I get better and better with each passing day” Read the full Dream Big Noon-Spiration here
