Selfish Love

Selfish-love what is the meaning of this word to you? For me, it means loving yourself just the way you are, the way you look, the way you act, and the way you feel despite what others might say. Some of us have a hard time accepting the type of human we are. We want to look just as great as any other woman we might crush on. We want to look just as good or even better right? The comparison is one of the most terrible ways you can do to bring your self-esteem down. So stop right now and think about the things that you love about yourself! Sure some women are born with natural beauty and that is the truth! Some of us are born special made haha, winky face because you know what I mean. We have things that we don’t like from our bodies, to our skin, to our personalities to the way we dress up.

We start to pick on us, we look at our flaws and find things that we just hate about ourselves! I know I’ve been there, these are just feelings that shouldn’t even be there at all but are. We are all born with our own uniqueness, our own personality, our own style, our own mark. And yet we can’t accept the way we were made. We fall for people’s judgments so easily they don’t seem to know how hard it can be for us. Could it be hate or just plain jealousy? Nobody knows because, in reality, nobody will tell you how they feel or what makes them they say rude comments about you or to you. Know that the person who has ever said anything about you has their own insecurities. Everyone hides them and everyone is too blind to see their mistakes. It’s so easy to say hateful words but it’s so hard to forget.

Now let that sink in before you decide you want to say something rude about yourself or to someone. This is a reason why we are so hard on ourselves. Why is it so hard to love ourselves and be proud of it? Why do we hide when we were born to stand out? It can be scary right?? It will take courage to stand up for yourself and show everyone who you are meant to be and let me tell you it’s time! We should be able to feel free in our own bodies no matter what anyone says. Yes, you are different but that’s because you were born to be. Who wants a world filled with all grey and no red!? Not me! Let everyone be different, let everyone stand out, let everyone be who they want to be. Let’s celebrate each other’s beauty and dare to admire others beauty without judging our own.

Everyone is unique in their own beauty and sometimes you don’t even have to do or use anything to be your own kind of beautiful. Even the word Beautiful is so rare nowadays, that once it’s mentioned it feels unbelievable and sounds like a joke. All this superficial beauty is taking over and most people believe that it is how a woman should look. What happened to natural beauty? The beauty that makes you, You! It’s time to take back our lives and live a life full of happiness, peace, and love for ourselves. I like to call it selfish ambition, you will work on you. Loving the person that you are and standing proud of the human that God has created you to be. Tall, short, chubby, skinny, stretch marks, scars, freckles, long hair, short hair all of this doesn’t matter. What matters is how you feel! If you radiate confidence people will admire your vibe of confidence and look up to you for your strength and courage. No one has time to look at your flaws. People come to you by how you radiate your energy. Sure some people will be mean and will always have something to say about whatever it is that you are, look or do. Are you going to please them? I hope not, God created us to be a one of a kind unique woman.

He wanted us to show the world that we should love the human bodies that our souls reside in. The person that we are meant to be is inside of us all. And it is up to us to show some selfish love to ourselves. Feed our souls with positive energy, feed our feelings with happiness and our thoughts with positive words. Our bodies with good foods that will help us live long, good exercises that will help us reserve our strength in the long run. Always, always, always think for yourself and by yourself the things that you want to do and why you want to do them. Never because someone told you or because someone is making you. Always for you! Show some love to yourself, be selfish when it comes to you! Girl! Get a haircut, color your hair, do your nails, put on some makeup, dress up,  eat good food, take that long walk, go for a hike and feel good! Do something that will make you feel ten times better than you did before because you know in your heart you are a beauty and you claim it!! A simple compliment goes a long way to yourself or to someone. If you don’t believe me try it, repeat after me. I am beautiful! You are beautiful! We are beautiful!
